What makes us who we are?
Experimental film and installation

4th Semester, March 2021 – Juli 2021
Film, Exhibition Design, Text
Supervision: Prof. Christoph Barth
The title of the course was “Fragile Worlds” and indeed, my world was fragile during that time. During my 3rd Covid Semester I admittedly felt very low and started asking myself: what even is fragile? everything basically. The human itself, the planet, what human produce, even the galaxy itself. But is fragility a bad thing I began to wonder? Especially the fragility in each individual? Beginning from a lot of questions, I started exploring why we feel the way we feel and why we are why we are the way we are in order to get to our basic core.

The following main aspects were considered chronologically main aspects were considered chronologically: emotions, the mind, empathy, consciousness, thinking, altruistic mindfulness
My aim was to convey these many questions and contents as humanly and approachably as possible. Therefore, the project consists primarily of a soundtrack and blurred, unclear, almost painting-like video sequences to ensure space for one's own ideas and thoughts. This goal was achieved primarily through analog VHS recordings. The following film is the end result of this concept.
The proactive shirts can be scanned with a smartphone using augmented reality. The digital interactions vary depending on the topic - sometimes they encourage critical questioning, sometimes they provoke with activist practices.

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Felicitas but you can call me Feli. Currently I started my master's in Design & Future Making at Hochschule Pforzheim.

I'm always open to learn new things and I'm thriving in a dynamic, interdisciplinary and motivated environment. Gladly, I was able to experience such environments besides university during my work at the Institute Design & Systeme in Würzburg, as well as working with the Fraunhofer IIS.

I'm fascinated by the synergy between the analog and digital worlds. This fascination drives me, as I firmly believe that digital media can support us even more in our everyday lives and in more sustainable decisions.

I'm always open for a nice chat and to connect! :)
