Hardly any other technological development is currently moving us as individuals and as a society as much as artificial intelligence. On the one hand, people are looking forward to the possibilities that AI will bring in the future. On the other hand, AI is perceived as something threatening for humans.

We want to encourage anyone to familiarize with AI technology and not be unsettled by our own humanity and its capabilities. On the contrary: to see AI for what it is and can be for us humans –  a tool.
Jan and I developed  a dialog system with an AI, which will be triggered by touching a hanging stone. While holding the stone, the AI starts to talk and asks you a question on how you feel to speak with an AI. The emotional tone of the answers are analysed and a digital stone appears and develops itself according to the emotions detected.
The Human AI project was exhibited and accessible at the end of June at the Deutsches Museum in Munich as part of the Festival of the Future. In the future it can be used by the Fraunhofer IIS Group HCI to have an overview about AI acceptance or the possibility of increasing acceptance. The next time it will be shown during the Innovative Citizen Festival in Dortmund from November 29–30.

A big question for us was: How is a 3D object created from the conversation analysis?
Firstly we tried different techniques, but as of today we decided for noise deformation.

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Felicitas but you can call me Feli. Currently I started my master's in Design & Future Making at Hochschule Pforzheim.

I'm always open to learn new things and I'm thriving in a dynamic, interdisciplinary and motivated environment. Gladly, I was able to experience such environments besides university during my work at the Institute Design & Systeme in Würzburg, as well as working with the Fraunhofer IIS.

I'm fascinated by the synergy between the analog and digital worlds. This fascination drives me, as I firmly believe that digital media can support us even more in our everyday lives and in more sustainable decisions.

I'm always open for a nice chat and to connect! :)
